Shoei GT AIR vs SHARK SPEED R
Replaced my old Shark SPEED R with the GT AIR.. Tighter fitting than the shark... Both helmets size small... Very similar in terms of visibility and noise... I fact no difference at all.
The main visor on the SPEED R was coated to be fog proof and it was reasonably effective, although you did need to give it a hot bath every now and again to reactivate the demister... The GT AIR however has the pin lock insert which works without issue.
The chin bar at the front of the GT AIR is also closer to your mouth, which allows use of a FOGGY RESPO mask inside the helmet... I've used this in both lids and inside the shark, the chin bar was too far forwards to allow the respo mask to hug my face effectively... In the GT AIR its perfect fit so probably assists with demisting the visor.
The sun visors on both lids are equal to each other, both effective and drop down far enough to stop sun light blinding you from under the seam.
The only big difference is the air venting... SHOEI are the better service... The air flow over the top of the head through the scoop vent is really noticeable and welcome on warm days... The SHARK was just ok...
The chin vent on the shark used to put air into my eyes unless I had the sun visor down... I'm not experiencing the same with the SHOEI.
Both great helmets, but the shoei clinches it for me... It's pricier though... Make sure you wear your helmet often enough to justify it

Blue Ray via my ps4 is immersive as is playing a ps4 game
Music from all sources is crystal clear and beautiful... Even my stranglers and stiff little fingers collections have a new lease of life.
My only downside is when playing from a USB, if you select songs too fast, the memory can't keep up then shuts down the stream.
Overall easy to operate piece of top end kit.
