Brightens up my sewing machine table.
A case of necessity! I had to replace the lamp as the unit had fallen over and the light fitting had smashed - if there is one criticism, it's glass and breaks into lots of small pieces. As I use it for extra daylight-like light when I'm using my sewing machine, it's an essential additional piece of kit. The lamp itself has a flexible neck which is ideal for working at the cutting table.

This book is packed with first hand accounts, is thoroughly researched and compelling reading. I'd listened to the audio book through the library and decided I wanted the hard copy for future reference. But it's heart-breaking too - I heard one Australian navigator named and realised I'd read about him in another book, and on checking it, I knew - he didn't make it home - one of the 55,575 (or more depending on which stats you read). Books like these ensure that these brave souls are never forgotten.
