An absolute beast
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this GPU a year ago for gaming, but then got interested in style transfer for video using deep neural networks. It's a good job that I bought the GPU first, because the 2xGTX760 SLI setup I was running before isn't capable of anything like this card is on its own.
Also in the off-hours I have started using it to mine Vertcoin, with favourable results. I get 35MH/s on the Lyra2RE2 algo.
Plays GTAV on top settings without even breaking a sweat. Passes the VR benchmarks I tried with flying colours. This GPU paired with a G-sync monitor will be enough to satisfy almost anyone. The only complaint I have is that the Ethereum boom has driven up the cost. I paid £329 for mine and at that price it is good value, but they are more expensive now, a year later, and the new Volta GPU's are due to be released soon.
