So handy
This stuff works so well in those situations where glue just doesn't, like where there just is not enough surface area to keep two sections of a broken object in good enough contact for any glue to hold, and/or where there is a lot of gravitational pull working against two objects staying stuck together. (It's also supposed to be good for objects with wet surfaces, but I haven't tried it on anything like that yet.) For example, I just used it to fix a mini Christmas tree trunk back upright in its stand. The stand must have lost a piece somewhere along the line, so right before my fix, the tree trunk was loose inside what was left of the stand and the tree was unable to stand up at all. The hole in the stand was bigger than the diameter of the tree trunk, and that plus the gravitational pull of the tree meant there was no way that any glue was going to fix it. (Unfortunately, I wasn't anticipating writing this review so I did not take a "before" picture.) Here's a look at my repair job and the result. If it weren't for Mighty Putty, I probably would have had to consign this lovely little splendor to the trash bin. The putty works just as described--it's easy to use, neat, and fast.

Has it in a bag
These are compact and attractive, and the two I had before lasted for years--I just finally lost them. ChicoBag really had that covered too, though--I should have just attached them to my clothing with the carabiners on the bags. I get compliments on these sweeties from cashiers and shoppers all the time! I love not having to reuse (too bulky), recycle, or even worse, throw away regular shopping bags on a continual basis! The only rare occasions that I've done so in the past seven years or so since I bought my first ChicoBag have been when I accidentally forgot to bring one into the store. I also really love the fact that unlike other reusable bags, no folding is required--you just stuff the bag into the pouch and pull the drawstring after each use. Voila!

A disappointment compared to my old 13" "vintage hand hoe"
I bought this product after losing a similar tool that was given to me--one that looked similar to a product called a "vintage hand hoe" that I saw online recently. Though all the reviews I read on the Nejiri were great, I was quickly disappointed on several counts: 1) The shorter length of this tool, 10" as compared to the 13" of my old one, makes it less ergonomic, forcing me to hunch over as I use it and making it quite unserviceable for reaching underneath larger garden plants to weed as I'd been able to do with my old hand hoe. 2) The handle's position in relation to the blade--attached almost directly by a small metal band--also makes it less ergonomic by inducing me to hunch over, as well as by forcing the arm to go very close to the ground when using the tool; whereas on my previous hand hoe, the blade was attached to the handle by a raised, curved piece that allowed more space between the handle and the ground when in use. 3) The Nejiri handle is simply too short: my bottom finger and the lower area of my palm just slips right off the bottom of the handle, which feels extremely cheap and frustrating...and I have small hands! 4) Unlike my old tool, the blade of the Nejiri actually bends somewhat under pressure, making it less effective in ripping out tough root material.
I was not sure how the differences between my old tool and the Nejiri would play out in practice, and I had really hoped that the latter might actually work better, because the price was certainly alluring! But as soon as I tried the Nejiri for the first time, I began wishing I had paid the extra $10 for the vintage hand hoe off the bat. Luckily, the Nejiri did not cost that much; for that reason, it is not even worth the effort of trying to return.
