A great and difinitive contribution to the Wright Legacy
1 of 1 found this helpful A marvelous overview of Wright's fabulous Price Tower and easily the most exhuastive exploration o f the subject yet offered. I have always been fascinated by this project which flys in the face of everything taught in Architectural Schools about addressing a problem presented by the client. Price Tower might be compared to a concept car at an auto show.
It's so impractical in so many areas that to reproduce anyting like it in numbers would bankrupt small countries, yet it posseses such a wow factor that you have to be dead not to love it at least a little. This book is truly a stellar work that leaves no stone of any size unturned.

Most apropos!
Superb comedy/spy/thriller set during one of the most critical periods of the second world war when all seemed before the unstoppable German conquerors. Great portrait of a modern western democracy on the threshold of an abyss which was to last nearly half a decade before it was liberated. Great,performances, script and gorgeous sets really put you in 1940 France. Five star entertainment.
