Feature unique to Yamaha
2 of 2 found this helpful I was looking in to marantz, denon, pioneer or Yamaha. I chose Yamaha Aventage after months of research because they have something that the othe three lack.
What is this feature you ask?
It's called dialogue lift. If you have the center channel below your TV this uses the presence or height speakers to seemingly lift the source of the dialogue to the center of your TV.
It works extremely convincingly. I've always been annoyed by the dialogue sound coming from the center speaker's location. It's distracting! Now my MartinLogan Motion 40/30 speakers blend in perfectly with what I see on the TV.
The other feature I love which is called enhanced bass makes it that I literally do not turn my sub on and still have deep natural bass. I love it!
Also it has phono in, HDCP 2.2, Dolby Atmos and runs really cool temperaturewize.
For under $1,000 I can really crank my Motion 40 tower speakers and never feel like I wished it had more power. They are a great match to this amazing receiver.
