Engrossing historical novel with fascinating detective work.
Very compelling story line with lots of interesting characters involved in intriguing legal and political situations. Loads of historical references to the life and times of Henry 8th's reign.

Brilliant, engaging, entertaining.
Crime thriller set in Tudor times. Keeps you turning pages. Interesting characters and fascinating historical settings. If you aren't into history you will enjoy the detective elements of the story. It keeps you guessing right to the end. You will want to read the whole series though you don't need to read them in order as the stories stand on their own well.
Can't recommend C. J. Sansom books highly enough.

An enjoyable read. Great characters. Story is open ended so leads you on to the next volume. Addictive!
This book was exactly as described. In very good condition, nice and clean for used book. This was the only volume of the Clifton Chronicles I didn't have so was delighted to get hold of it.
