wouldn't buy again
1 of 1 found this helpful I used to own a lexmark all in one so considered this an upgrade as it prints to CD/DVD.
I have printed a couple of discs and it prints ok, a bit blotchy in areas of CD so put this down to cheap disc coatings. It does take a couple of takes to acknowledge there is a disc there, constantly sucks disc in and out for quite a while before printing.
Photos come out good when you can get it to take the paper, constantly says no paper and paper jam. Again I'm using premium gloss Epson paper so it could be that. The other day it destroyed about 10 sheets of photo paper with constant load paper and paper jam before I realised it had crashed in some way and had to power off for a while and back on, then it printed first time.
I would hate to thing I would have to print out 20 pics!
Scans fine as I just import using photoshop and all works ok.
The printer is really annoying, it seems to be going backwards and forwards inside before it does anything. very slow.
never had a printer actually crash with no indication of why or that it seems to still be working.
The software is also an issue, it has updated so far about 3 times, only been installed 2 week and each download is 70MB. the software is slow and wants to control all your files. Printing off a simple picture requires adding it to the library of pictures and it auto dates them etc. If thats what you want and I guess alot of people do then it's a great slow printer but produces good prints. Pay for the recommended paper and inks. but at £35 a cartridge thats £70 for ink!
I hate proprietary software and there struggles to control your files. I just use this printer for printing CD/DVD and the odd small print.

Work great I have 2
They work fine. need a pc to setup initially. But then works great from tablets or phone. i ordered one from Germany and one from Netherlands and both work great.
one on virgin and sky. the only problem i've encountered is BT. they split your router to different networks for public to use and this seems to cause issues.as soon as its on a standard network Virgin or Sky works great.
I use for outside lights and sockets for garden.
The mood or scene function is great, at one click can turn multiple lights off or on meaning endless possibilities for holiday, home, out etc.
only downside is its an old system and you can't run LED bulbs from the lighting circuits.
still worth the money.

Scanex Rejected me!
I've bought ELM bluetooth before never had a problem. I bought this scanex one because it is a smaller form factor and red!
First impression was it has a button? other ones i had never had buttons! anyway plugged it in and scanned for bluetooth, found Scannex so selected expecting a pin box. Instead it says Pairing rejected by Scannex! tried a few more times and confronted with cannot communicate with Scannex and pairing rejected by Scannex.
I'm beginning to think Scannex does not like me! I'm not sure why, we haven't been together long enough to form a relationship.
