BERGEN HVLP SPRAY GUN KIT WITH REGULATOR AND 2 NOZZLES n. 8753

Opinions of an amatuer sprayer.

The gun in my opinion is well made easy to clean and for me works well spraying epoxy primers and 2K finishes. The spray head is easy to interchange and the gun comes complete with a spanner and minimal cleaning brushes. The 600 mill container is a little lightweight and should you knock it it will bend / distort quite readily, the top just plugs in and is held by friction only and could fall out if spraying "uphill". However at normal angles it's fine and I much prefer this container to the plastic versions with screw on lids which never seem to want to screw / unscrew easily once they have got a bit of paint in the threads, mind for what I use it for a smaller container say 300 ml would be nice. The pressure regulator however is not so good, it seems to not like to consistently control pressure to 20 -25 psi and the amount of adjustment between 0-25 is minimal. If you can live with 30-40psi then it seems to control pressure quite consistently. However the biggest problem with this device is that the gauge glass appears to be made of a material (acrylic I suspect) which " melts" with cellulose / 2K thinners and gunwash!. The result for me is that now when reading the gauge it's all very blurry and foggy and this after but one days use. Would I buy again? yes but I would probably look for the best deal on the Gun only and hunt around for a better pressure regulator.
