Great resource on customs of Native Americans.
Excellent classic book about First Nations people near the Crooked Lake Agency in
Saskatchewan. Written in the early 1900's, the author's father was an Indian agent and she learned the native languages. Her observations of customs, ceremonies, medicine,
traveling, etc. are primary observations. This book has been in reprint many times,
deservedly so!
I bought this book because I have relatives who were part of these tribes.

Love the Betsy-Tacy stories and am collecting the whole set of ten.
The Betsy-Tacy stores are beautifully written and very entertaining. There are ten books about growing up in the early 1900's in Mankato, Minnesota. i'm giving the whole set as a Christmas present.
