Suprisingly fantastic
I decided to rent the movie after hearing (and liking) a few of the songs. I was very impressed by the performances of Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler; Emmy plays Christine with a wide-eyed innocence, and her performance of "Think Of Me" leaves me with goosebumps every time. Gerard Butler plays the Phantom with the perfect balance of pity-inducing fury and erotic suaveness. Patrick Wilson is a bit more lackluster, but is still good. Minnie Driver plays La Carlotta perfectly, making you despise Carlotta as much as you're annoyed by her. Having never seen the opera performed, I can't properly compare the two; but I fell in love with "The Phantom Of The Opera" after watching it once. It has romance, action, light notes of sexuality, and fantastic performances.

They're not noise cancelling but they don't press my frames into my head. Very pleased
