Great read
Despite it being a children's book I was stimulated to read it having seen the film. The trilogy is so much more and a lot darker than the film. There is a large amount of descriptive evocation of the Inkworld which would translate well to screen but can be a little wearing to read, but just like the story you need to have imagination and I wish I could have read these as a child.
