Excellent lens For an Excellent Price
first off, id like to say that this lens isn't like zoom lenses. you have to move around to compose! people will hate you for it but you will love yourself
before i bought this lens for my D90, i had the 55-105vr that came as a kit. although that lens is great, this one just blows it out of the water IF YOU KNOW how to use it correctly. when i first put it on i was disappointed with the blurriness of the pictures and was wondering why people were talking about how sharp it was. Well, the problem was me. this lens does not have VR (Vibration Reduction) like other more expensive lenses so it needs you to be steady whilst taking a picture in low light. also when you walk into a room with a lot of people who want to see your camera they will be baffled as to why your VERY EXPENSIVE DSLR camera has a pissy little non zoom lens. they will be baffled because they will never understand the power of this lens or what an F-Stop is. but you will :) and you will certainly appreciate how light the lens is. its like carrying around nothing. You will be more satisfied when you have to spend a little effort getting a great composition instead of zooming from one spot. its more fulfilling.
dont doubt yourself, just get it. its a great lens to accompany your camera on those trips that you cant be bothered carrying a massive lens to do the same or worse a job!!
