Tots TV - Snowy Adventure (DVD) - ACTUALLY

Rather good ... actually. This dvd was purchased to replace the same one our son had 'worn out'. He loves Tots TV and our copy kept sticking in the machine due to scratches etc. This even has some humour for the adults making it more bearable after the 50th showing. Our son has autism and so the 50th showing is NOT an exaggeration, but he likes it very much. We have another Tots dvd but he only watches this one. Tots teach consideration and how to be helpful towards eachother and to take responsibility. These puppets (what they are puppets?!) are pretty good actually. The education aspect is even expanded by one of the Tots - Tilly - being French. Colourful and good viewing for children.

Chisum

Classic Western featuring one of the greatest actors to have graced this planet with his presence. Almost impossible to pick a favourite in John Wayne's varied career but this reliable, plain and simple movie must rank amongst the highst. John Chisum is a ranch owner - a kind, fair and loveable character whom anyone can admire and even aspire to (even today). An honest man with a strong presence who doesn't mince his words. This is good old-fashioned, wholesome, Sunday afternoon viewing. The type of thing that was commonplace for most people before Sunday shopping and life travelling at 100mph.

Don Henley - Live Inside Job (DVD)

I like Don Henley's writing and performing style - solo and with the Eagles. I have been a fan since I was little. I was brought up listening to this type of music. One of the highlights of my life was seeing the Eagles live. Don Henley is original, creative and extremely talented. I have listened and watched this dvd repeatedly since purchasing it. It is easy to listen to and extremely smooth without being boring. I also like the fact he verbally credits his co-writers in his concert. He also has such confidence in himself, his writing and his performing that he can re-mix classics such as Hotel California and appear to enjoy performing the result. I have a number of concert dvds which I listen to more than cds and this rates as one of my favourites.
