Not the original, and in some ways maybe better.
A remake of an Oscar winning Christmas movie. A WELL DONE remake that remains somewhat accurate as far as adhering to the original script. The actors do a fine job and tell the familiar tale with sincerity and believable emotion. Elizabeth Perkins keeps her "humbug" tendencies intact but slowly gives way to a more vulnerable and likeable woman as well as a more supportive Mother.
A well done copy of a solid Christmas plot/

Not Miami Vice’s best season by any means, but we needed this to complete the series
