RS232 Bluetooth Adapter

This tiny module is well constructed, with a switch for MASTER / OFF / SLAVE, and a pushbutton to “CLEAR” the embedded Bluetooth module. It includes an RS232 chip to interface directly with an DB9 RS232 connection (null modem not required), and has a mini-usb connection for charging the battery (not included). One thing that many people don’t realize, is that a battery is REQUIRED - the charging circuit cannot provide enough power to run the board by itself - without a battery plugged in, the board will crash and reset at random and drive you crazy.

Works ok.

Build quality is mediocre - cover over USB connector pulls off easily, exposes wires.

Works well, a little slow, a little dark at night.

It’s a little slow to start up - This camera takes ten seconds to start recording after turning power on. It’s a little dark - night vision isn’t as good as I wish it was - need better sensitivity. The WiFi feature is really neat - many options can be set with the app on your smartphone. It streams live video which you can watch on your phone, and you can transfer videos from the camera to your phone. I use mine on the back window, looking behind my car.
