KEEP YOUR FLUTE CLEAN INSIDE with a Flute Cleaning Rod !!!!
The Leblanc Metal Flute Cleaning Rod is a great item to have for any flute !!!
Simply cut a small section of soft cotton cloth ( an old T-Shirt is a fine source of soft cotton ) and pass it through the slot in the cleaning rod , and dry the inside of the flute tubing to remove all moisture .
Doing so after every use will prolong the life of the key pads , and keep a nicer looking flute that plays better !!!
On the other end of the cleaning rod is a marked line around the cleaning rod , that is to check if the head joint cork is in the proper position . Inserting the marked end into the headjoint tubing , the marked line should be visible in the CENTER of the embouchure plate ( lip plate ) hole . If the line is at the center of the blowing hole , no adjustment should be made to the headjoint cork position !!!!
Keeping your flute clean and dry will be more pleasing to the flutist , and mean fewer trips to the repair shop !!!!
