Don't build them like they used to....
2 of 2 found this helpful Waited a month, finally arrived. Said it could mix 6 loaves worth of bread dough, tried it with 4 loaves - it emitted a strong electrical burning smell (had to open kit window) and just quit after 5 minutes. (Hook was correctly inserted, dough is standard artesian bread dough) Had to hand -knead the dough. Either the motor isn't strong enough, or there's something wrong. Tried twice to call KitAid - waited on hold for 30 min each time, then gave up. KitchenAid used to be a well respected brand. Not so much any more, I guess.
