Lovely 2-tone ping-ping sound

Lovely 2-tone ping-ping sound, with a nice resonance. Sits slightly above and to the rear on the left-hand side of handlebars so can be clamped right next to the levers without interfering with them.Very good value for money.

Poor shielding.

The cable is of good quality but the way the shielding that runs through the cable links to the gold connectors is of poor quality. As a result this cable gave me just 58 channels on my TV compared with a cheap £3.50 cable that gave me 108 channels. When I unscrewed the connector and stripped back some of the black insulation it became clear that the shielding terminator was just a gold pin that pushed into the underside of the gold connector, it was not soldered to the connector and could be moved from side to side. Once I had soldered the pin to the connector (see photo) on both ends of the cable it worked well giving me 108 channels with less interference than the cheap one. I don't know if this is a design or manufacturing fault but i would not recommend this product as you should not have to perform this kind of remedial work on a new item.

Very effective.

Works extremely well at smoothing out the vibrations at the handlebars on my road bike when I am on the hoods. Can sometimes notice a slight movement on a very steep ascent when I am out of the saddle but not to the extent that it effects my climbing. Not a cheap stem but well worth the investment if you ride a lot.
