Focusing Problems
This adapter works as advertised, in that it fits nicely onto the lens and allows you to use a Minolta lens on a Leica body. What they fail to mention, however, is that the adapter changes the focusing of the lens. Focusing with the rangefinder on my Leica M8 no longer worked, and setting the distance measurement on the lens to match the distance to the subject resulted in out-of-focus shots. If you have a Leica SLR, this adapter would probably work, since you would be focusing through the lens. With a rangefinder, the workaround would be to figure out what the conversion from true distance-to-subject to distance-on-the-lens would be. Even then, you would lose the ability to finely focus (especially important with wide aperatures). Nicely made product, but for rangefinder users not a good choice.
