Great alternative to analogue tape.
This is my second one as I mislaid my first after 20 years of faultless service. A fantastic portable player/recorder where the operation is intuitive not having to scramble for the user manual every time. Editing functions on board are first rate as is sound quality. Highly recommended if you can find an operational one.

2 of 3 found this helpful Having owned one of these before just proves this machine does what it says. Set-up is child's play. Once this has done, you can expect very good results from recordings and playback (providing you have a decent signal to start with + a good quality tape) without the usual graininess associated with the later cheap, plasticy VCRs. Rapid r/w & f/f is something that once you try, you can't do without, plus a good comprehensive list of features that are equally useful and easy to use. As far as build & looks are concerned, particularly in this 'bin it-throw away' culture of Chinese CRAP we're forced to have, it's not a 'battleship, but it's not bad and having unfussy looks, it's not festooned with useless bits and bobs. Maintaining it is pretty straight forward-clean the tape path by hand, do not use tapes! For domestic applications it's very good+

performs as should.
Genuine replacement for my Bosch Art 23 Easytrim which performs as it should. Decided not to take a chance with a generic replacement in case there were problems.
