Cromwell
2 of 2 found this helpful Powerful film with the cream of British actors which makes a good stab at showing how the passion of a people were aroused to a Civil war that for some reason we do not call a revolution. It changed this country for ever. Cromwell is portraed as rather more glamourous than history indicates and Charles is shown with both his weaknesses and (private) strengths.

A Bible on looking good for every woman!
I have had this book for years and have now bought two copies of this book for my 14 yr old daughter and her best friend. It is brilliant - explains how make-up should be applied and colours chosen to make the wearer look fantastic not badly or overly made up! Studies have proven that make-up - especially with sun protection - protects the skin but today so many young women are being duped into making themselves look silly or tarty instead of enhancing their own looks. This book sets out logically the colour sets that suit and how to find them and about applying discreet make-up - especially where to place the blusher (which professional artists and magazine editors ust lie about for some reason!) The clothes book is good too - we all know deep down that long hair and identical fashions which today's young women follow if anything more slavishly than in the past (?) cannot suit every size and shape!
This book is old but a classic. (And no I am a feminist and do not want to look good for random males but for my own pleasure and self-confidence - and to avoid skin cancer which killed a relative...)
