Do it right
1 of 1 found this helpful You really need to wear the gloves and protect the work surface from staining. You need to polish off *all* tarnish, wash the object with dish detergent to remove any trace of oil, rub it down with a cloth dampened with ammonia, buff it *entirely* dry. You need to shake the solution bottle vigorously for a full minute. Static electricity drives the electroplating. The result is very thin but looks brilliant. I buff the silver with my waxy furniture cloth, to leave a thin protective waxy coating that slows tarnish. Use and polishing will wear the thin plated silver off again. So repeat the process from time to time. A great product.

Classy ornaments

Essential repair
This adds months of use to your raggy Carhartts. If you apply from behind to repair a tear, lay the pants on wax paper first, so the glue doesn't bond to the ironing surface.
