Dont. You will be disappointed.
3 of 5 found this helpful Its lost all the elements that made LOTR so good. Its a CGI fest which totally loses plausibility. The final one is like watching someone play Dark Souls for 2 hours. The characters are skin deep. Legolas is made the star and played like a Marvel hero, the stunts are neither needed nor possible, ruining the immersion in this film. This is Jacksons Hobbit. Tolkien's Hobbit left the building halfway through the first film.
There is a woeful and unneeded attempt at continuity at the end contradicting what we already know in LOTR and stars from that film are badly shoehorned in to create the back story. Good idea but its done so badly that it makes characters interaction when they meet again in LOTR seem very odd indeed considering we now know they had met before. Such a waste when you compare it with the original trilogy. Can't recommend.
