Thirst quencher
A good strong water bottle that looks like a fire extinguisher. A brilliant addition to my Honda c50 custom.

Excellent strings.
These strings are great. As long as you follow the detailed instructions for getting them on the instrument, then they settle with no problems. Still need to be tuned each time I pick it up but after a couple of weeks I expect them to hold their tuning very well. If you have not had these before then I would give them a try. They not only sound good, bright and clear, but they look stunning.

"Sandwich"
With the vinyl/aluminium sandwich platter upgrade, Pro-Ject have come up with a really simple, but effective, improvement to the standard offering. At first I was skeptical, but after trying it out for awhile I must say that it does add something sweet to the mix. I found that it works best without an extra mat and with the vinyl top layer to the platter, there is no danger of damaging the record, especially if a weight or Michell clamp is used. Incidentally, if you use a clamp, it only works if you don't have a mat since the spindle is relatively short.
The weight of the sandwich is more than I would expect for an aluminium platter but it certainly seems to be a high quality item and on my Debut 3 it works a treat.
Priced well within the budget audiophile range I would expect Pro-Ject to be able to shift quite a few of these "sandwiches", so expect to see a lot of standard platters appearing on eBay!
