6 out of 7 bushes did not fit my car (2002 e46 330ci BMW)
1 of 1 found this helpful I've bought this set thinking it's a lot cheaper than a powerflex equivalent and "should still work" - oh how wrong I was.
Out of 7 bushes that I've received I'm happy with just 1, the rear diff bush seems to mount OK.
The bad points:
- no installation instructions provided, subframe bushes are marked "bush A" and "bush B" (instead of "bush F" for front and "bush R" for rear) diff bushes don't require "instructions", this being quite obvious.
- all of the subframe bushes are "flat", they don't have a recess for the front stud head (look at powerflex or STOCK bushes to see what I'm on about). As a result the whole subframe is spaced away from the body, lowering the rear ride height accordingly (it doesn't "lift" the car, it lowers it, making it look really silly...)
- subframe bushes are either too tall (the bush "shoulder" sits above the subframe) or too short (leaving space in between the 2 bush halves once mounted) regardless of which-way I mount them (bush A in front or bush B in front)
- front diff bushes are to short, in their installed position they don't "stick out" (towards the diff) as much as the STOCK ones. Diff will sit slightly forwards in the subframe thus making the halfshaft angles more severe, increasing wear, reducing the lifespan of the halfshaft. The subframe bushes DO FIT, I've currently got them on my car but it's not ideal.
The good:
- came on time and all of that.
I highly recommend buying something else!
