check the pick-ups
Be sure to check the pickups on any Dean Pace you may be shopping... Some have pre-amp/active system (needs batteries) others are simply wired to single volume knob from the piezo bridge/saddle pickup. I can only speak to the non-active version - and it requires some TLC to get the sound right - grounding challenges along with outboard EQ from a high impedance pedal/DI. Fun to play and closer to a fretless standard bass than a traditional upright, but sure easier to transport!

Just what the dashboard ordered!
Exactly as described and solved the issue of my talk light on the dash. (Gotta be honest, had tried a $10 option at the auto parts store, and while it did cap my tank, it didn't make the sensors happy!) Go with OEM on something like this - and these guys see it through.

Great upgrade for our Dell
