The English subtitles ruin it for me.
Picture quality is not great, but also not terrible. The item comes with three discs that include all three seasons and they're playable on my laptop in the US. I absolutely LOVE this anime, and the price isn't bad at all... but I'm not a big fan of the DVD set.
Unfortunately the English subtitles are ALL WRONG. It triggers me so badly. FORTUNATELY I took 2 year of Japanese in university, so I understand enough Japanese where I can turn the subtitles off. They subbed it to where the main FEMALE character is a "he" whenever they're being spoke about or to. AND they don't even subtitle many of the character's NAMES correctly.
