Sturdy and a good mix of features for the price
3 of 3 found this helpful My first impression was very positive - a very sturdy case, which felt strong and much better than one expects in that price class. I also like the black color. When starting it, it was full with not so useful complimentary software of which some kept freezing and throwing errors. It took a long time to delete some of it, and I assumed the bundled software made the laptop slow, so I decided to reinstall. That way I found out that if you use the built-in restore options, you get the same junk installed again. So I downloaded the correct windows installer program which created a boot stick for me, after which I had a still not-too-snappy but far more reliable clean system - without the touchpad gestures, though. I will install the driver for that another time. All in all, the case, the screen, the wifi reception, and so on are very good, while the ssd doesn't feel faster than a normal hd and the cpu also doesn't seem to be as fast as four cores suggest - but in that price class, it would be difficult to get faster components. Good value for money, and seems suitable for students and for people like me who just want to have a little machine for some experiments and surfing.
