Does what it should
A great bit of kit for the home owner who wishes to check the moisture content of their wood before burning it. Could also be used to check the moisture content of wood prior to purchase. I checked the moisture content of wood I knew to be old and well seasoned but still solid (16%) and that recently purchased from a farm and seasoned for one year (30%). So it seems to do the job accurately enough. It is well made and a handy size.

A well written, easy to read book.
These stories have waited too long to be told. Mick Drewry has done an excellent job in researching and putting together the histories told in this book. For anyone interested in the history of the Sheffield outrages, the conditions of the working class or how the unions came to be, this book will help in their understanding. It is not a 'dry' history book, but lively and easy to read.
