Poor quality item, lasted just 5 uses.

Bought one of these off Amazon, warned people on there too as it seems to be an increasing problem this compressor failing prematurely. Mine lasted just 5 uses less than an hour each time, I did everything correctly, oil level good and drained properly. Motor smoked and stopped had been running approximately 2 mins when this happened at the time of failure. Check out Amazon reviews too you will see. As I'm finding out, buy cheap, buy twice.

Good alternative to dealer prices.

Just fitted one of these crank case breathers on my octavia vrs 20v turbo. It fitted well and shall see my car back to good health. I will say however it isn't any thicker than the standard weak part, which is a missed opportunity for the manufacturer to market these as an upgraded part. I'm not expecting it to last years and years but for the price I can hardly complain at all! So to conclude I would 100% recommend fitting one of these if yours is split. (which it probably is, take your engine cover off and have a look!) Top tip, get some side cutters and loose the horrible one time use clips, and fit jubilee clips instead.
