Nicky Hayden Stickers - Large Decal Sticker kit (A4 Size)
    28 Jun, 2017
    R.I.P. Nicky
I'm living in Spain now, and it's great to represent the Kentucky Kid here. Nicky Hayden was a great motorcycle racer, but even more importantly, a great human being. He gets a lot of love over here in Europe, no one has ever said a bad word about the guy, and he will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Kid.
    Fenix E12 - 130 Lumen Torch / Flash Light
    26 Oct, 2016
Has been my EDC flashlight for two years
This is a fantastic little light. Small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket every day of the year, and efficient enough to get a lot of uses on a single AA battery. Everyone seems to buy flashlights based on max output these days. "1000 lumens!" "4000 lumens!" To me, that's missing the boat. What most of us REALLY need in an EDC torch is a durable, functional, and efficient light that works easily and doesn't have us scrambling to replace batteries or recharge it every three days. In this respect, the E12 delivers. It's small. Could maybe even go on a keychain if you wanted (although I just carry it loose in my pocket.) There is one soft-touch button, slightly recessed on the back. Press it once, and the light comes on in it's dimmest mode. THIS IS THE MODE I USE 95% OF THE TIME. It's FINE for finding your way down a dark path, locating your keys, and pretty much anything else you might want to do with an everyday light. Press the button lightly, and the output gets brighter, press it lightly a third time, and the output goes to its brightest setting - 130 lumens. (Which for a little light like this is quite bright indeed, and more than up to the task of, say... finding the source of an oil leak in the cramped engine compartment of an old Lancia on a bright day.) But if you just press the main switch fully, it turns the light on and off, never leaving the dimmest setting. It's brilliant. You can access the brighter settings if you need, but if you don't (as I don't, then it's just a one-button on and off, always in the most commonly used setting. I use it very regularly, and in two years I am only on my second battery. Because the rear button is recessed, it will self-stand on the end, but it's pretty narrow so it's not the best for self-standing. If you use a lot of self-standing, I'd get a chunkier, fatter light that will be more stable. But chunkier, fatter lights are a lot less convenient for everyday carry, and for EDC, to me, the E12 is the perfect size. Mine is now pretty beat up, and shows a lot of wear, but it has gotten a LOT of use, often in heavy rain, mud, dirt, and other rather harsh conditions, and still works perfectly. Just like the day I got it. Along with my Opinel No. 8 Inox, the E12 hasn't left my pocket in two years. It has been a very faithful friend, and I can't recommend this little light enough. Buy with confidence.
