Does the job.
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this at a very good price just to knock the temperature down a few degrees in our second floor master before going to bed. Our single heat pump unit doesn't cool upstairs well. Unit is fairly noisy -- even on low setting. Kinda like those under-window motel units.
Like that it is evaporative so no emptying condensate -- yet. Didn't know before buying it's supposed to be on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. We keep everything else on circuit off when it's running except a couple of lights -- which dim when compressor kicks in.
When installing window vent, found parts don't match instructions. So you'll need an electric drill in addition to the hand tools they recommend.
