Original equipment, but with poor design.
I bought two of these, they are exactly like the original equipment. But it's a terrible design, difficult to load, and the string constantly breaks off or jams INSIDE the head. To thread it back through you have to open it up which involves a VERY difficult process of pushing plastic restraining tines.
In addition, one of the units came with only one string protruding, so even before the first use I will have to open it and rethread the string through the hole. See picture.
Unfortunately this is the only option I know of for the 4 cycle Troybilt trimmers.
For anyone replacing this trimmer head, be aware that it is reverse threaded.

Terrific capo, my favorite ever!
I love this little capo! It's small profile doesn't interfere with fingering, and tho plastic and light weight it seems sturdy enough. The threaded screw tightener system allows exact tension adjustment and helps the guitar maintain it's tuning. It does everything a capo should, and cheap to boot!
One slight caveat: the screw CAN come all the way out and disappear down a black hole to join all the single socks in some alternate universe. Just saying..
