Don't be misled by the decryption "anti slip rubber coating "
1 of 2 found this helpful Anti slip rubber coating ? how on earth can rubber coating chip off like hard paint ? ,No exactly what I thought when opened mine up and took them out of the packet ,A well sealed packet so they couldn't be damaged in transit or storage I found most of my allen keys to have this rubber coating chipped off in various places I was a bit miffed with them being new but what the hell it's not the end of the world , when I actually felt this anti slip coating it most certainly didn't feel like no rubber Iv'e ever felt before well I was now curious so I scratched a bit more with my thumb nail and it just chipped away with so much ease ,It's as you would expect if you just applied any top coat paint on a metal surface like these keys it will just chip and scratch of with the slightest touch ,Mine are hung on the wall by my cabinet but can you imagine if they was chucked into a tool box after a couple of weeks there would be next to no paint left on them it would all be in the bottom of you box ,
Save yourself the disappointment and buy an honest unpainted set "what you see is what you get"
So based on the cosmetic side and claims of antislip I have left my comments
Would I recommend it NO
Is it good value NO
Is it good quality NO
But I have no doubt they will stand up to the job they are made for ,It's either Sealey or Sealey's supplier who has been a little liberal with the truth when it came to claims about the coating ,Why bother , That is just my opinion but you are free to make up your own mind ,,, Oh and this does not reflect on the eBay seller I purchased mine from in anyway shape or form
