Very funny little stories
These cartoons are really inventive and often laugh-out-loud funny and I like the style of drawing with bold outlines. With no speech as such, they have international appeal, as they would to audiences of all ages (I'm no child!).
I did hope there was another series but so far have not found any.

The Growth of a Religion
It's a religious story and good value if you, like me, enjoy 2D animation as it is full animation and offers an intereting insight into the faith in an entertaining way. There are no funny cartoon characters as it's more of a story book and upholds the beliefs and never shows the Prophet as this is not allowed. The animators had to adhere to strict guidelines.
Probably not for everyone but for animation buffs, it's worth viewing.

A DVD of 8 Cartoons and Feature Film
It arrived well within time. Gabby is the lamplighter / town crier with a high pitched voice who is the comic turn appearing in the feature film Gulliver's Travels, which is included on the DVD, and he was thought to be of sufficient appeal to have his own series of 8 shorts.
Gabby's films are good fun, made in 1940-41, so the style is of the era. Colourful, with full animation, with some of the original 'Gulliver' characters as supports. The DVD quality is very good for the age of the original.
