Ubisoft's foray into Metroidvania is smart and fun
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown brings together that classic blend of metroidvania action and exploration in new and interesting ways.
The game is not afraid to switch between platforming, puzzle solving and combat at the drop of a hat and does each very well.
The map is broad and interconnected similar to Hollow Knight but not as overwhelming. This makes traversal and exploration easy with minimal unnecessary backtracking.
There have been a few bugs in the game that I've found, but today's patch release fixes a number of them and Unisoft seem to be aware of more that are being addresses.
If you like action / adventure games in the vein of Metroid: Dread and Hollow Knight, PoP sits firmly between the two in scale and difficulty. You won't be disappointed.
