This a good sound card. I did not hear any noticable difference from my Sound Blaster Z card, however. The new Sound Blaster Command app is a bit confusing to navigate, as well. So, there's no reason to replace your old 24-bit sound card. But if you need a sound upgrade, or if you've been thinking about getting your very first sound card, then the X G6 is a good choice. It also looks stylish.
