A useful, informative book if slightly old fashioned
I was surprised that the recipes quoted ounces as the first measurement but then realised it was first published in 1985. The only criticism I have is that recipes don’t give the number of servings. As I’m not a vegan (dairy intolerant) some of the ingredients are new to me, 81% flour baffled me but it turns out it’s a type of wholemeal and still available today possibly in specialist shops but definitely on the internet. The nutritional information is comprehensive and the book is worth buying for this alone. All in all it’s an interesting book, with useful information and recipes, if slightly old fashioned. I’m sure veganism has progressed and there is much more variety available.
