Pioneer SP-FS52 Performance Comparison and Review
2 of 2 found this helpful Phenomenal tonal quality. Clearly one of the best I have listened to. Incredible clarity. Tight bass, crystal clear highs. Over the years I had several speaker pairs and continue to own them and compared them with SP-FS52 from the same amplifier (Yamaha) and music source. The speakers I compared SP-FS52 where: Advent (Two way) ; Bose (two satellite w/Subwoofer); Kilpsch Synergy; Lynnfield VR30; and an inexpensive RCA. Kilpsch Synergy III was the closest to the tonal quality or nearly the same as SP-FS52s and was twice as loud at the same amplifier volume setting. Kilpsch was three time more expensive than SP-FS52. Very soon I will have a pair of B&W 603 to compare this with. I also tried this with Harman-Kardon; Marantz, Onkyo, Pioneer, and Sony aplifiers with and without equalizers and preamps. Currently hooked up to a vintage pioneer SX-6. Overall very pleased and highly recommend SP-FS52.
