Not spikey - shines!
I was expecting boar bristle to be spikey and stimulating for my hair but this soft bristle was probably much kinder. It smoothes my hairstyle and brings a lovely shine. Excellent!

Jericho, Series 1
3 of 3 found this helpful From the opening scene, I was completely hooked. This series, which achieved early cult status in the States, tells how one small Kansas town reacts to a series of nuclear bombs being set off all over the country. They don't know if a foreign power is attacking them or whether it's home-grown terrorism.
The characters are all beautifully drawn and the acting is superb, especially our own Lennie James who can do a very realistic Louisiana (I think it is) accent and Skeet Ulrich, playing the town's bad boy, home from he won't say where...Lennie James plays a new resident of the town and I'm not giving away much by revealing that he is a 'spook' in hiding. He knows a lot and his resourcefulness eventually earns him the respect of the town's leaders.
The town has to defend and feed itself in the face of some horrendous developments, such as radioactive rain, raids by neighbouring towns and massive influxes of refugees from the war zones. Some of the characters are heroic, some selfish, some incredibly ingenious and in the midst of their efforts to survive, there are some convincing sub-plots, great action scenes and a couple of love stories. When the identity of real villains were finally revealed (and I defy you to guess who they are until very near the end of Series 2) it's left to the viewer to foretell how Jericho will deal with them.
CBS was bombarded with complaints (and peanuts!)from Jericho fanatics when they cancelled the show after the first series, so they brought back a restricted second series.
I've bought both!
This review is already too long but suffice to say it's a gripping yarn!

Compact, neat, efficient
Great little DVD player keeps its promises - easy to set up, good picture quality, plays my Region 1 DVDs a treat, hardly takes up any space at all. Only one tiny gripe - I wish it had an on/off light! But it's a piffling complaint among all its good points!
