At last, a drive that appears to work. Purchased two 1TB drives from AliExpress ... which stopped transferring HD drive after about an hour. This one (so far) seems to be working perfectly
Phot-R 72mm Universal Collapsible Rubber Multi-Lens Hood for Wide Angle Lenses

A novel use for a lens hood
I put an overnight GU10 in the passage ceiling to act as a nightlight. Trouble was, when it switched on, it lit the bedroom as well. So I got this, and a stepping ring, and used Milliput putty to fix the ring to the lamp fitting. The hood then screwed to that. Why did I do it that way? When the LED bulb 'blows', I will simply unscrew the hood to get access to the bulb with the ring remaining 'in situ' Another advantage of the hood is that it can be 'folded back' to its wide angle setting so it doesn't look so obtrusive on the ceiling
3PC/Set 44mm Glass Lens + 50mm Reflector + Fixed Bracket For 20-100W LED Durable

Nice unit with quality glass lens
OK, so it's not a Nikon or a Canon, but for the price, I was expecting an acrylic lens, or even maybe a hollow glass sphere. But it is solid glass. Not tried it with an LED chip yet, only a torch. Whereas the torch lit the whole wall at 90 degrees, this concentrated it down to a circle of 10 degrees. In practice, at 10' distance, the circle oof light was 12" across. (In fairness, the torch was a single LED, so maybe that is why I got such a narrow angle) Whatever, it certainly concentrates the light into a narrower beam that the 50W / 100W chip LED on its own
