Burned Up After 9 Months
Worked great for 9 months, then randomly had something start burning inside the other day.
At the time, I had just started two fully charged 3S batteries to bring them down to storage charge. Quickly disconnected everything and took it outside just in case.
Plugged everything back in to see if it still burned, and it didn’t, but now channel 1 won’t actually change amps. It will let me change the amp setting, but regardless of what amp setting I input, it always uses 4.0A once started. Then it hits a false capacity cut-off early in.
Looks to be a burned up resistor on the left side of the board.
Before it broke, it worked but had some quirks of a rushed product. For example, the beeping to signal a charge is complete is very long and has no adjustment other than i think infinite beeping or off entirely. Also, unlike my Dynamite charger, you can’t check voltages with just the battery balance plug plugged in — you have to also connect the battery’s main plug. Not a big deal but what do you expect for the low price.

Haven't installed yet but realistically, the window to leave a review will expire before I get this thing put on my '87 4Runner and get a couple thousand miles down the road to see how it holds up. Plus, it's November now, so I won't be running the AC heavy until like April/May. Hopefully the internal mesh bag with the desiccant beads in it doesn't rupture and release them like the one on my '94 Toyota pickup did years ago.

Tekno quality. Hopefully they last longer before getting sloppy at the hinge pin holes now that they use the longer hinge pin bushings.
