much better than stock antenna

this is a must have item to improve your baofeng and similar portable. outdoes the stock short antenna on transmit as well as receive. and the price is right too. i chose this one vs. the foot long nagoya type antenna, as those just get in the way. the performance of this antenna is very good and i'm very pleased with the overall performance and size of it. a very nice addition to your portable. you will appreciate upgrading and purchasing one of these. right length as to not get in your way when you carry a portable, unlike the footlong other type antennas. price can't be beat either. very reasonable. well worth considering as a new accessory

a nifty thin dual band antenna that works

this a a thin whip, small magnet mount dual band 2m/70cm antenna. i chose this antenna because i like the style and size to be put on top of my car for my portable when i want to use an external antenna. it work just fine and not big or bulky but actually very stylish. about 20 inches long or so. checked the vswr with a bird wattmeter and shows very good matching on both vhf as well as uhf. pleased with the antenna and would purchase again.

stylish and a very good dual band portable

i bought this portable-my first baofeng owned. i really like the style and feel of this radio in my hands-this case vs. the other models of baofeng. i keep this portable to use at the house here inside as well as when outside. plenty of memory channels and power output. these radios work very well and i'm sure you'd be pleased like i am with one. program by hand or via software. that is what is nice. a nice radio to have in go bag for a trip or for emergencies. this is a very good dual band portable with loud audio and a very good transmit audio. the transmit audio quality sounds better than some of the higher priced radios. this radio works fine for me and the battery lasts a nice long time and i'd buy another one if i had too and needed. lots of accessories are available for this radio and other baofeng models.
