A bit toneless
The product was a little disappointing as the chimes sound a bit flat and toneless, Otherwise the delivery was good and the item is well made

Awful smell
0 of 2 found this helpful I made the mistake of thinking this may be a 'copy' of Thierry Mugler's Alien! Its not. It smells awful and unfortunately lasts far toooo long.

Engaging on all levels
Although this series has been around now for some years, it still holds the attention. Derek Jacobi was perfectly cast for the role of Cadfael and delivers his usual style. If you are interested in the Mediaeval era or detective mystery type stories, then this will more than suit. The series has stayed very true to the books which is unusual these days. They are of course, cleverly written by Elllis Peters and every detail is accurate. Cadfael covers a period in history of turmoil and uncertainty on the English throne and brings in both wider and local historic reference. An added bonus of the stories is the clever mention of medicinal plants used by monks of the time and which today we are becoming more interested in. Ellis Peters research for the stories is impeccable. I would recommend Cadfael to anyone as it has something of interest for most people.
