Zeiss FE 80mm f2.8 lens for Hasselblad V200 series, If this lens was a car, it would be an S2 Bentley
the optics are beautifully clean and the mount looks like new. I am not aware of an inferior lens made by Carl Zeiss but this is one of his best.
Perfection is not a word usually associated with camera lenses as all have some areas where aberrations appear, I have rigorously tested this lens and have yet to find any.
It really is a joy to own.

Olympus lens hood for the f2 50mm Digital Zuiko Macro lens
It is difficult to eulogize about what amounts to a small plastic cone, however, the lens which this was designed for is the flagship professional Olympus 4/3 fast macro lens, its job is twofold, 1, to prevent stray light hitting the lens objective and causing flare which could ruin your picture and 2, to protect the lens from damage.
This lens shade fulfills each task perfectly. It is engineered with the same care and quality control as all other Olympus equipment, suffice it to say that the Japanese government chose Olympus cameras and lenses as the only suitable equipment to take on board the International Space Station.
The inside surface is covered with concentric rings which deflect stray light away from the lens. It fits perfectly with a positive click and only moves when you move it. There are other none OEM shades available but, I have seldom found any of them to be satisfactory. Macro photography requires precision, you've bought the best lens for the job, it makes sense to have the hood designed to complement it.

Olympus Zuiko Digital 35mm F3.5 Macro Lens is Excellent
10 of 10 found this helpful Small,lightweight and inexpensive are not usually attributes of good quality lenses; this lens defies that theory. Utilizing the "Four Thirds" lens mount it is a true Macro lens, giving 1:1 magnification on the camera sensor.
The body conversion factor for "Four Thirds" being x2 gives an equivalent image size of twice life size compared to a 35mm camera.
Focus is quick and positive with minimal hunting with autofocus although with high magnification it is often better to extend the lens to the magnification you require, set manual focus and rock back and forth to achieve precise focus.
Images from this lens are clear and crisp with good contrast and definition across the whole imag. I have found no evidence of distorion whether barrel, sushion or chromatic
There is a 52mm filter thread for supplimentary lenses and the lens is compatable with Olympus extention tube ET25 should you wish for additional magnification.
Having a maximum apperture of 1:3.5 is not the fastest lens available but seeing as most macro photographers use their lenses stopped down tof11 or more this is not a drawback
The one drawback I have encountered is that being of a short focal length means close proximity with the subject, ideal for inanimate objects but can put you within the circle of fear of small insects which may not stay around long enough for you to explain what you are doing.
All in all this is a superb piece of kit and with the body conversion factor making it a 70mm equivalent, it is also an ideal portrait lens.
