A little tool with a big reputation
It’s only a 10mm x 13mm little spanner, so what’s to write, it’s a very small, approx 4”/5” long featherweight item, the chrome seems to be good quality as I’ve had it now about 2 years plus, and it still looks new.
The important part, the jaws have served me very well, it hasn’t rounded a single nut, it hold very firm once you locate it on. As a combustion engineer it has undone many many nuts inside some very difficult to reach boilers, once you carry it you’ll realise just how many nuts are 10/13mm on UK appliances.
It’s the only dedicated spanner I carry in my tool bag, everything else is covered by 2x Bahco adjustables and 3x Knipex plier wrench’s so it’s in very good company and easily holds its own.
There’s one particular boiler I service and I used to struggle for access to the heat exchanger, my Bahco 1/4” drive socket set used to do it albeit awkwardly, now it’s a breeze with this spanner.
The fact I’ve written a lot about such an inauspicious tool should tell you to add it to your tool kit, you won’t be disappointed
