A 4k home viewing with a good surround system bears a worthy comparison to the cinema experience with this worthy second installment of the Dune serie
Excellent second installment of the Dune series. This film has a different feel from the first, and has a more purposeful story line. But underneath Paul continues to wrestle with the futures he is see more and more clearly and settles for a narrow path which by the end of this film is not yet clear. On top of this he appears to have lost Chani, the love of his life. Compared to the cinema, a 4k showing at home with a good surround system allows the view to adjust the volume of the dramatic sound tracks to find (for me) a better balance.

Great film to see in 4k on disc.
Landmark SciFi film finally doing justice to Frank Herbert's seminal book. Outstanding cinematography and music in the hands of Villeneuve and Zimmer. Great cast who really get the characters they are playing. Previous attempts at filming this book have failed to capture its scope, but at last this one does. This 4k disk brings out the depth and detail of cinematography without the compression used in streaming. This film is just part one of the book, so there is more to come.

Good basic 4k player
Good basic 4k player without frills to complement a recently purchased 4k Panasonic TV which already provides all the processing extras needed. The only negative is that the disc transport system is a little noisy.
