Tefal 7-Piece Ingenio Essential Non-Stick Saucepan Cookware Set with Lids, Black

Excellent for stacking in a small space.

I was looking to replace my old Tefal saucepans which had folding handles to help make storage easier. The lids on two of those had lost their handles and I'd made replacements from nuts and bolts, which worked fine (as long as I remembered not to lift the lids of a boiling pan with my bare hands!), but didn't look very elegant. As I hate throwing anything away I had resisted buying new saucepans, but when the non-stick began to wear out a bit on the pans I used the most I thought it was time. Ingenio seems to be the replacement for the folding handle pans that I was used to and I'm pleased with the removable handle on the new ones. As well as making them easy to store, it's good to have versatile pans that can go in the oven and look acceptable when serving up at the table. (I didn't bother with the plastic lids to save stuff in the fridge, but I can see myself using my normal pot covers with them.) Whilst it's easy enough to attach and detatch the handle, I can see I'm going to need to buy a second one as if I want to rearrange hot pans on the hob it's hard with just one handle. I am also not sure about the fitting of the lid when the handle is attached. Without the handle in place it's a good, tight fit, but with the handle attached there's a gap all the way around. It might not matter at all, but it is not quite what I was expecting. But that doesn't alter the fact that this is a great little set and I'm sure it will last at least as long as my previous pans.
