Good addition to your Resident Evil collection
2 of 3 found this helpful Play as old favorites Claire and Chris, plenty of fun weapons, good length, and an unlockable mercenaries battle game. It contains lots of traditional Resident Evil puzzles, and no pre-rendered backgrounds this time. This is a nice sidestory to fill in some missing pieces in the main plot. If you've played RE2 but not this, you're missing out on the rest of the story, as this is a continuation of Claire's quest to find her brother. Pick it up!

1 of 1 found this helpful For those who have played the original "Metal Gear Solid" games on the PlayStation 2, playing the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will bring back plenty of great memories.
The HD Collection comes packed with three games: Sons of Liberty, Snake Eater, and Peace Walker. The HD Collection doesn't include the very first Metal Gear Solid, unfortunately, but a detailed plot synopsis is available to read in Sons of Liberty.
Each game comes with ample extra content. Sons of Liberty, for example, includes the lengthy challenge of VR missions and Snake Tales. Snake Eater includes the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, first released on the NES in the 1980s. Peace Walker has over 120 extra missions to keep you busy for days.
As veteran Metal Gear fans know, the series is all about tactical espionage action. Snake, the main character, values stealth over the guns-blazing approach. Because of this, the games reward you for sneaking around enemies and penalize you for drawing too much attention to yourself. This is very different compared to other popular war games and shooters.
Newcomers to the series should understand that each game is filled with lengthy cutscenes, some up to 20 minutes long. These cutscenes serve to explain the intricate plot, and they are very well-done, but they might be a turnoff to those who just want to hop in and play a quick game.
The game looks great on an HDTV, even compared to some of today's latest releases. Controls are intuitive and easy to use.
With three amazing games, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is a deal too good to pass up. If you play through all the content offered, you'll be busy for at least several months. Buy it now; you won't be disappointed.
